Hello! I enjoy archives, art, book/media history, and making those things exciting and accessible to everyone. I live in Asheville, North Carolina, where I work as a Special Collections Librarian at Buncombe County Special Collections.
I graduated with my MSLIS and Advanced Certificate in Archives from Pratt Institute School of Information in 2018. I also hold a BFA in Printmaking & Book Arts and a BA in English from the University of Georgia. This website began as a way to compile a few of the projects I completed during my graduate coursework.
Some recent writing includes a chapter about how GLAMS (galleries, libraries, archives, museums, and special collections) leverage Wikimedia for The New Art Museum Library and an overview of BCSC’s efforts to build a community-based archive documenting the impact of Helene in Western NC for Appalachian Curator.
From 2020-2023, I co-edited The Journal of Black Mountain College Studies. I’ve also written blog posts on various topics for HeardTell, and a guest post about community archives on the Archive-It blog.
